6 Things I Hate About Instagram

As all of you have already known,

I am an instagram freak.

I spend quite some time on instagram daily, by checking my news feed, posting, commenting, and raving over all the beautiful photos you can find on instagram.

But instagram is not what it used to be.

I've only been on instagram for about 5 months now, but boy has it changed.

Now that the mood is set, here are my top 6 things that i absolutely, negatively, hate about instagram nowadays.

1. ALL THE STOLEN PICTURES. Sure, I understand if you're trying to showcase someone else's picture when you're giving them a shoutout or you're collabing, but I absolutely despise when people take credit for other people's work. I mean how hard is it for you to go outside of your room and take your own pictures for once?

And even when they do give credit, instagram is not tumblr. So please stop posting pictures that aren't yours on instagram, because when I go on instagram I expect to see stunning pictures taken by the person themselves. Let's not turn it into google images please.

2. THE MEANINGLESS PHOTOS. Honestly, would you like your whole news feed to be full of pictures that are only pictures of your friends' low pixel lunch? Or selfie, after boring selfie, over and over again. I mean, I think I know what your face looks like from the front, side, duck face, and right after you took a shower. Seriously? Isn't that what facebook is for? Just because facebook bought instagram, it doesn't give you the right to turn it into that!

3. STUPID  USERNAMES.  For example: yo_momma_just At first you think, What is the just for? Who wants an unfinished sentence as a username? Well, in your news feed, when someone with this username likes a photo or follows you, it will say:

yo_momma_just liked your photo.

yo_momma_just followed you.

haha very funny. To me, a username should have a story behind it, or actually mean something, well, meaningful! I would be embarrassed to have a username like that, but hey, that's just me.

4. UNORIGINALITY.  Please, for the sake of copyright, stop taking the same Barbie face, "Am I perfect now?" photos, we've already seen it about 57547568567865673693874595488349 times.... This goes for all copies of photos actually, not just that.

5. THE POPULAR PAGE.  Yes, I know it's a shame to hate something so popular. ( pun intended ;D ) But it's true, the popular page used to be a showcase made for top photographers like @barnel_02 and @savannnnnah, but now it turned into all the above.

6. POPULAR PAGE BLOCKAGE. You've either been blocked from the popular page or you know someone who has. I don't like that instagram is doing this, because it stops all the people who have amazing original photos that get on the pop page all the time and allows amateur iPhonegraphers that only take pictures of food and selfies onto the page. I used to go on quite a bit myself, and gained plenty of loyal followers, but ever since I've been blocked, I haven't seen a wonderful income of friends. ( Not that I'm complaining about followers or anything, not at all! )
