Tips On Becoming Insta-Famous

I myself, am not insta-famous.

not even that close actually,

and I am always looking for new ways to get followers,

real followers.

Followers that think you are an awesome photographer and appreciate who you and your photos really are. 

For the 6 months I've been on instagram, I've learned a thing or two about getting  some attention there.

Here they are, from order of most important to almost as important:

1. Take good photos! Instagram was made for attractive photos, not attractive people. Not to be rude but, if you don't take your own pictures, and they are oh so very cliche, don't expect to have more than 400 followers. Sure you can post pictures you found on tumblr, but a majority instagram is revolting against accounts like those. And if you take spectacular photos, you will get shoutouts 24/7.

2. Collab with other instagrammers. Combining photos with other people will make people start talking about, well, you! Your name will be out there and the followers will probably like your pictures if your collaber likes them too. And collabing with instagrammers that get more likes is a good deal, because you want true followers, not just followers, but ones that will like 90% of your photos!

3. Get out there! Comment on photos you genuinely like, and chat with instagrammers you admire. Most times if I get a really sweet, and genuine comment ( don't say you love someones photos just because they have popularity on instagram, that's selfish. ) I will for sure check out this person's profile, I don't know why, but I always do.

4. Have a good profile pic. Most people like colorful, interesting pictures. Make sure it's yours, and acts like a sample of your gallery, or maybe just show off one of your favorite posts.

5. Get on the pop page. Now don't be desperate and start begging for likes or start s4s ( shoutout for shoutout ) to just anyone. Be subtle and modest, that's the best way to get likes without looking pathetic.
