I have a real treat for y'all!
( and yes I say y'all like a 'lil country gal. ^u^ )
The gorgeous @ghett0barbie, who came all the way from instagram, was sweet enough to let me interview her for today's blog post!
Here are the questions you've all been dying for her to answer:
So Jordan, how long have you been on instagram?
For a year now. (:
Wow! No wonder you have so many loyal followers! Other than the photography, what's your favorite part about instagram?
Ahh there's so much to like! I love how it's a community, I love the feedback. There's soo many awesome people I've met on there.
I completely agree! Such kind folk on that app. But if you had the chance to change one thing about instagram, what would it be?
There's quite a few.. Firstly the popular page needs a cleanup.. And there are so many good photographers blocked from it (including me) its ridiculous. ): Also I wish you could re-arrange the pictures on your page and be able to delete pictures more than just one at a time. I also think certain instagrammers need to pass a literacy test or just not have an instagram if they comment dumb things or are childish and make hate pages. Earlier there was a girl, (11 years old) trying to give advice to a girl on Nikon vs. Canon saying Canon's are more "professional". No....
I think we should contact instagram about that stuff! I'm sure no one likes those things. What I would like, however, is to know what camera(s) you use to take your pictures!
I use a Nikon D3100 with the 50mm and 70-300mm lenses. I also have a D40, but I don't really use it much.
Go team Nikon! Haha. Where there is a great camera, there is great inspiration; where does yours come from?
Ahhh everything. Other photographers, movies, nature, life, and just weird ideas I have in my head. Sometimes I'm guilty of "pointing and shooting" though! Inspiration to me is just a strong feeling that you need to take action on. It's one of the things that makes life beautiful. It makes art "art".Well said! Inspiration is always inside of us, we just have to find it! And Jordan, how do you find yourself describing your photography-style?
Jordan-esque. (; haha I don't know, because my style is always changing and I hope that I never have a defined style. I just shoot what comes from my heart and I let my viewers interpret everything for themselves.
Great way of thinking! Speaking of great, who are some talented instagrammers that you know of?
Too too many. Anyone I follow is amazing. You're right! There are too many to count... Anyways, how long do you plan to stay on instagram?
UNTIL I DIE or until the world ends in December. Or maybe until I get a life...
If you're asking me Jordan, you're already living the life on instagram! But hey, that's just my opinion. (; Okay, last and hopefully not least, what tips do you have for new photographers starting out on instagram?
Well I'm not the best for advice, but don't think IG is a popularity contest. It's a community of talent and inspiration. Don't ask for shoutouts. Post frequently, but not too frequently. Get to know your followers, and comment back if you can. Every compliment deserves a thank you. Most importantly, HAVE FUN. It's only an app after all. (;
Thanks so much Jojo! It was so exciting to have you on here! :D
You're welcome! <3

What an awesome interview, don't ya think?
Should I do more of these?
What else would you like to see from me?
Enjoy summer while it lasts!
