Inconsistency: The Gruesome Tale.

When I was a little toddler, I was always the bossiest person in the room,
always.

It's actually kind of funny now, because I seem to be the person that always follows the rules instead of making them!

I was ( and still am, I guess ) a loyal student to my grades. Enjoyed learning and feeling very happy with myself for being so attentive in class from a young age.

Throughout my years I would pick up many hobbies:

painting

sculpting

piano

drawing

anime/manga drawing

computer sketching

photography

ukulele

I enjoy(ed) each of these things so much, and grew so attached to each one of them;
but despite my passion and longing for each of these,
forgetting my focus and determination,

I have dropped almost all of these things.
I always found excuses and laziness to occupy the time I should have spent doing these things,

painting: too much time to prepare for it

sculpting: don't have the tools

piano: teachers expect too much time for practice

drawing: no inspiration

anime/manga drawing: frustration and no satisfaction with finished/unfinished works.

computer sketching: "not good-enough"

photography: pictures aren't like they used to be.

ukulele: just not good at it

This list frustrates me to even look at it. It's very hard to love something but be such a perfectionist that you can't even do it.

So please learn from me and do what you love in hope and truth that you will get there.

Where you want to be.
Where you will be.

xxBrunneta

P.s. I will keep my promise about coming back to instagram this summer,
I have a few surprises up my sleeve,
so please;
keep hope.

@ghett0barbie Interview

I have a real treat for y'all!
( and yes I say y'all like a 'lil country gal. ^u^ )

The gorgeous @ghett0barbie, who came all the way from instagram, was sweet enough to let me interview her for today's blog post!

Here are the questions you've all been dying for her to answer:

So Jordan, how long have you been on instagram?

For a year now. (:

Wow! No wonder you have so many loyal followers! Other than the photography, what's your favorite part about instagram?

Ahh there's so much to like! I love how it's a community, I love the feedback. There's soo many awesome people I've met on there.

I completely agree! Such kind folk on that app. But if you had the chance to change one thing about instagram, what would it be?

There's quite a few.. Firstly the popular page needs a cleanup.. And there are so many good photographers blocked from it (including me) its ridiculous. ): Also I wish you could re-arrange the pictures on your page and be able to delete pictures more than just one at a time. I also think certain instagrammers need to pass a literacy test or just not have an instagram if they comment dumb things or are childish and make hate pages. Earlier there was a girl, (11 years old) trying to give advice to a girl on Nikon vs. Canon saying Canon's are more "professional". No....

I think we should contact instagram about that stuff! I'm sure no one likes those things. What I would like, however, is to know what camera(s) you use to take your pictures!

I use a Nikon D3100 with the 50mm and 70-300mm lenses. I also have a D40, but I don't really use it much.

Go team Nikon! Haha. Where there is a great camera, there is great inspiration; where does yours come from?

Ahhh everything. Other photographers, movies, nature, life, and just weird ideas I have in my head. Sometimes I'm guilty of  "pointing and shooting" though! Inspiration to me is just a strong feeling that you need to take action on. It's one of the things that makes life beautiful. It makes art "art".

Well said! Inspiration is always inside of us, we just have to find it! And Jordan, how do you find yourself describing your photography-style?

Jordan-esque. (; haha I don't know, because my style is always changing and I hope that I never have a defined style. I just shoot what comes from my heart and I let my viewers interpret everything for themselves.

Great way of thinking! Speaking of great, who are some talented instagrammers that you know of?

Too too many. Anyone I follow is amazing

You're right! There are too many to count... Anyways, how long do you plan to stay on instagram?

UNTIL I DIE or until the world ends in December. Or maybe until I get a life...

If you're asking me Jordan, you're already living the life on instagram! But hey, that's just my opinion. (;  Okay, last and hopefully not least, what tips do you have for new photographers starting out on instagram?

 Well I'm not the best for advice, but don't think IG is a popularity contest. It's a community of talent and inspiration. Don't ask for shoutouts. Post frequently, but not too frequently. Get to know your followers, and comment back if you can. Every compliment deserves a thank you. Most importantly, HAVE FUN. It's only an app after all. (;

Thanks so much Jojo! It was so exciting to have you on here! :D

You're welcome! <3

~

What an awesome interview, don't ya think?
Should I do more of these?
What else would you like to see from me?

Enjoy summer while it lasts!

The Start of My Wardrobe Change

I hope all you are having a splendiforous summer full of sunshine and wonder!
If not than maybe this post will brighten up your day a little!

Now in my latest post, I talked about what I really wanted to get this year,
and one thing was a wardrobe change,
and this is exactly what this blog is about:

The start of my wardrobe change.

So recently I went to a Forever 21 store and got a few things,
and I thought it would be fun to show them to you,

in a fun way!

Here's a little video I did for you guys, enjoy! :

Which was your favorite?

Personally, I really liked the last one,
I felt like a flower-child! ^u^

Anyways, here are the outfits more close and personal:

♥ Outfit # 1 ♥

Flowy, floral top from Forever 21.
Its so comfy and pretty and goes well with pretty much anything!
White leather braided skinny belt for American Eagle.
Very durable and fits all and any sizes.
I'm not kidding, it's pretty awesome.
Mustard shorts from Forever 21 Girls.
( they were the only Forevery 21 store that had shorts my size! >.< )
But they're still cute right?

♥ Outifit #2 ♥

Another flowy top that looks even cuter when tucked into a pair of capris.
The lace overlay adds a really nice touch too. ;)
Bought from Forever 21.

* insert jean shorts here *

I couldn't find the exact ones that I have....
But if you watch my video you'll see what they look like!

Again, I couldn't find the exact item I used in the video,
but it pretty much was just a floral print scarf I used as a trendy belt.

♥ Outfit #3 ♥

Like I said before, comfyyyyy!
But a tad bit see-through, so be careful what you wear underneath.
Also from Forever 21.

* insert mustard shorts here *
I just couldn't resist wearing them again!

Colorful owl-necklace I got from Hot Topic a while back.

This belt is a lot like the white one except brown,
my friend bought it from JCPenny and then lent it to me!

Tell me what you guys thought of this post,
would you like more like this?
Should I change some things?

Thank you all for tuning in!

Keep "gramming"!

My 2012 × Wish List ×

Ordered from most desired to least,
enjoy my hopeful wishes!

1:☆ MacBook

Original or pro, it matters not! I just want a super convenient and portable way to edit photos, videos, and write in my blog. o(^▽^)o

2:☆ A Proffesional Lighting Set

When taking photos,( especially in my room ) I don't always have perfect light, so a set that could help me evenly light my area to my desire would help me loads.

3:☆ Photoshop

I couldn't really decide whether I wanted the lighting set or photoshop more so I randomly just put these two in this order. Anyhow, I've always wanted to do some pretty wicked edits, with photo manipulation, levitation, and all, but iPhone apps can only do so much! And even though every tells me that photoshop is über-complicated, I tell them my dad is a tech-wiz. o(^▽^)o

4:☆ A Total Wardrobe Change

I'm not saying that my wardrobe sucks, but that I've grown out of it... Literally. Half of the clothes that I wore last year have shrinked ( well technically I grew taller, but ya know what I mean. (^-^)-♡ ) Also, I grew in the sense of fashion, I've become more and more interested in it and actually started caring about what I wear everyday! To describe my style in 5 words.... Indie. Chic. Casual. Effortless. Unfortunately though, I haven't gotten the chance to prove my style.

And last but not least, I would love some more creativity!

Well thank you to all of you who constantly read my blog and hopefully I'll come up with better posts in the future.

Now you tell me,

What do you want this year?

Happy "gramming"!

(^-^)/

Where and How to Get i-n-s-p-i-r-e-d

I see you have a bad case of photography block.

But don't worry, I have just the thing:

inspiration.

But where can you find this so called "inspiration?"

It can come from things as normal as pencils,

to things as strange as purple, chocolate chip pancakes.

( which by the way, are amazing. )

A lot of times though, when we really need a eureka moment, it just won't show!

Here are a couple ways and places you could try!

tumblr. Of course you could try instagram and google, but for me, the hipster's mind is much more creative than a bunch of people with cameras ya know? Just browse around some pretty pictures and I'm sure you'll find a light-bulb or two.

let your imagination go wild. The first thing that comes to my head when I hear imagination is Alice in Wonderland. ( and Spongebob of course ;D ) Seriously though, she did have quite an imagination; talking flowers, red-painted white roses, and butter that could fly! If you take a crayon for example, you would try to find all sorts of ways to use it, besides coloring. In a flash your imagination will spark.

have fun! Sing weird lyrics in the shower, dance around in your room, or talk to your cat! You'll have fun doing it and realize you are a lot more creative than you thought. But for it to work, it all has to be spontaneous and at the moment, or else the fun will turn into a random rehearsal.

don't think about it. This option is more for people that aren't in a huge rush for inspiration. If you just relax and look at life without pressuring it to squeeze out some ideas, I'm sure they will follow up, one after another.

experiment. Take pictures of random things, ( but don't necessarily post it on instagram, we have plenty of people that do that already... ) take them in different angles, and replace them for different uses! Like turning a tennis racket into a.... car! You'll find connections to your inner sparkle and come up with loads of stuff.

go on an adventure. Without my good friend Kylee, ( aka @teenagedreamer ) I don't think I ever would have been to this point in my photography. I had a serious photography block, and she gave me this exact advice, she told me to go out and do a photoshoot in my backyard., and after that I was a new person. At first I had no idea what I was going to do, but then it all just came to me in a whirl wind.

~

Now I'm not saying that these work 100% of the time,

but trying them won't hurt!

Tell me how it goes!
